Les Franjynes offer another solution: a curtain-style hair fringe that adds a few strands around the face without necessarily having to wear a full wig. It slips under a hat, turban, cap or scarf, allowing you to recreate the famous curtain fringe — or curtain bangs — that gently opens at the forehead.

The Les Franjynes curtain fringe is a partial hairpiece made from synthetic fibre. Unlike a full wig, it only provides the strands needed around the forehead and face. The rest of the scalp remains free underneath the textile accessory you choose to wear.
A curtain hair fringe is positioned across the forehead before placing your hat, turban or scarf over it. A few adjustments are then all it takes to open the strands at the centre and choose how they frame your face. And don't worry about achieving perfect symmetry: a slightly natural, effortless fringe creates a softer and less rigid look.
| Step | How to do it | Our tip |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Position | Place the fringe at the level of your forehead. | Check its position in a mirror before putting on your accessory: a few millimetres can make a difference to the final look. |
| 2. Adjust | Distribute the strands on either side of your face. | Open the fringe more or less at the centre depending on how much of your forehead you want to show. |
| 3. Secure | Place your hat, turban, scarf or cap over the fringe. | The accessory helps keep the fringe in place while becoming an integral part of your hairstyle. |
| 4. Style | Gently work the strands with your fingers. | The synthetic fibre can be styled at temperatures of up to 190°C if you want to slightly change its movement. |
| 5. Check | Look at the result from the front and side. | The right positioning isn't about following a strict rule: it's the one that makes you feel comfortable and like yourself. |
Les Franjynes was founded in 2015 following my own experience of hair loss during cancer treatment. I didn't want my illness to enter a room before I did. I wanted to be able to choose how I looked, style my hair and recognise myself in the mirror. Our hair fringes were born from this desire: to put the choice back in our hands, even when our hair decides to leave us.
The Les Franjynes curtain fringe is made from synthetic fibre, not natural human hair. This choice allows us to offer a partial hairpiece specifically designed to be worn with our textile accessories. If a curtain fringe ultimately isn't your style, you can also choose from a straight or curly fringe.
To create a curtain bangs effect, the strands are gently separated at the centre of the forehead and distributed on either side of the face. With a Les Franjynes hair fringe, you can adjust the opening with your fingers to show more or less of your forehead, depending on the look you prefer.
A synthetic hair curtain fringe can be gently shaped with your fingers and, if necessary, with a heated styling tool at temperatures of up to 190°C. The aim isn't to create two perfectly identical sides: a few naturally loose strands can also help prevent the look from appearing too rigid around the face.
Curtain bangs can change the way the face is perceived by framing the features while leaving part of the forehead visible, but they don't necessarily make everyone look younger. At Les Franjynes, we prefer choosing a fringe for how it makes you feel when you look in the mirror rather than following rules based on age.
Yes, the Les Franjynes curtain fringe is specifically designed to be worn with a hat, turban, scarf or cap. The fringe is positioned across the forehead before the accessory is placed over it to help keep it in position. The strands remain visible around the face and can be adjusted to create the look you want.
